Yesterday, I talked with Claudio Caluori as he was making his way to Italy, having just returned from Israel. As you probably know, the conflict between Israel and Palestine had recently escalated while Claudio was there, and so while I had checked in with Claudio to see if he was okay, I also wanted to have this conversation (that you are about to hear) to learn more about the work he was doing in Israel; why he stayed to finish the project; and what he learned by virtue of being on the ground there.
