  1. I’ve always been interested by Intend products. Unfortunately, they don’t seem to sell many service parts for home mechanics and I haven’t heard of anyone in the US servicing them.

    • Hi Matt,
I was also unsure why Intend would not sell any service parts, but talking to them I found out that theis forks do not need to be serviced as many times as the other products on marked. And they do sell service parts on request in case you need to service.

      Here the answer from Intend:

“Our damping is a selfbeelding bladder. We have been working with the selfbleeding damping since around 10 years now. When static seals are sealing, there is no need to replace them. The rest of the sealing are working in oil, which keeps them fresh for many, many years. We do have unopened damping unit running at the customers for 8 years, which come here and are still just working. In your expirience the problems start at this point, when servicecenter or customers open the damping and try tp replace sealings, which are not required to replace. Don’t worry – no problem to open and for example reshim. But replacing sealing always have the potential to destroy sealing seats by pulling the seals out with a screwdriver or stuff like this. Also when we start offering sealing kits, the customer wants to replace all sealings, which are in the kit. This may multiply the chance of disfunction afterwards.
What I want to say. Our damping as also the airunit is maintancefree. If there is any issue, contact us and we’ll provide the information/neccesary stuff which is required to fix the problem. Over the years we expiriences that as the best way of handling.
The strucure of the damping is the same in all gravity forks.”

    • We’d certainly like to. Hoping to make it happen at some point but it doesn’t sound like it’s going to be in the cards near term.
