Late last week, Brendan Leonard and I had a really fun conversation with Jenny and Scott Jurek. Now, admittedly, this probably wasn’t the conversation that you ought to have when you have the opportunity to talk with a running icon like Scott Jurek and someone who is as accomplished and interesting as Jenny, but, whatever. We had fun, and you will, too. Among other things, we talked about Scott’s very first race; Jenny’s transition from climbing to running; How Scott and Jenny met; Scott’s love of cooking; Jenny’s most excellent ambition to set the Slowest Known Time on the Pacific Crest Trail; and the process of co-writing their wonderful book, North.

  1. Great episode. I read North and you guys did great job of not just summarizing or marketing the book (or other books) in a one hour ad, but just had fun entertaining conversation.
