  1. Thank the gods for people who like farming. I grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin and can honestly say that I liked nothing about it at all. Couldn’t wait to leave for college and have never had any desire to get back into farming. In fact, when I dated a woman who wanted to get into organic farming that was the final straw that led to the breakup.

  2. Long time listener, first time commenter. This is an interesting series – thanks for devoting time to it. A suggestion for a future episode: look into your local Conservstion District or Natural Resource Conservation Service. They have some great programs that can support farmers both large and small (season extension, cover crops, etc).
