  1. There are so many idiots out there faking it, and then their kids should be in therapy later on. The first one is hardest. By your fifth, you’re at happy hours ignoring your kid crying in the next room.

  2. I was going to say something in regards to the low snow levels in the lower 48 VS what snow levels are in AK right now , but it sounds like Paul Forward has that part covered. Silver lining of living in a place that only has 6-7 hours of daylight right now.

  3. Meanwhile in Alberta, the season started slow but it’s been snowing like crazy lately. Sunshine had to close for two days because they got over a meter of snow and had to do avalanche control…. sorry, this province doesn’t have much going for it so I have to celebrate the few wins we get.

I really love The Warmth of Winter; the skiing is admittedly unremarkable but it’s beautifully shot and uses Coffee by Sylvan Esso for the music, it’s such a good song and fits the film perfectly

  4. Think I re-listened about 5 times to get this so figured I’d share:

  5. I enjoy the podcasts, please keep up the good work. One counter point is that sadly we don’t all have friends who are willing to commit to climbing Denali with us and instead have to rely on a guided group.

  6. Not an edit but, the afterglow segment from sweetgrass is insane! A different kind of amazing skiing. Also sammy C’s edits take first place for sure!

  7. Thanks to Cody for tagging the Sammy Carlson segment—hadn’t seen it but it was awesome. I agree on the Ultimate Run—obviously reminiscent of the the One of Those Days series, but takes it to a whole new level. Markus Eder is the Brandon Semenuk of skiing. The thing I’d want to squeeze into my best edits list even though it’s as much mini-documentary as conventional edit is Olympic Steepskiing from Jacob Wester. The plot is the Jacob’s brother, a two time Olympian freestyler who has never skied any pow or anything steep comes to visit him in Cham and Jacob takes him to the top of the Aiguille du Midi and they ski to the valley. Some amazing skiing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHzuPn-UNrE&t=320s

  8. I know I am late to the party on this one. I gotta a lot of catching up to do.

NOW I know why you talk about Candide. Holy Bleep!, I watched One of those Days 1 – 3 this morning over breakfast after listening to the Pod yesterday in the car….

I want to cut the Gondola line like that, and jump over Downhillers on the course.
    AWESOME!
