Great podcast. Question – are you guys saying that this years Lange rx130 LV has more volume than the prior generation (last years)?
Bump on this question. I had the green rx130lv and now have the black dual core rx130lv (think it’s the 2019-2020). Will need to find a different option if they increased the volume.
I love how we can hear the whiskey in Jonathan’s voice at the end when he talks about hanging with Cy Whitling. :)
Eagerly awaiting the aftermarket liner review. As someone with very low volume ankles but wider met heads, I’ve tried: Zipfits (with extra home Omfit), home molded HV Intuitions, and newly purchased and foamed Atomic Mimic Pro liners, all in the same LV shell.
Curious to hear your plus/minus thoughts on each of the above liner options.
This was a great episode! You talked a lot about these Mimic Liners. Since the thickness of a liner is very essential, could you give us an Idea of how Thick these are?
I found it really hard to get the right ones for my need. Intuition come in HV, MV and LV, Palau has 7, 8 and 10mm thickness and ZipFit seems to be adaptable. The funny thing is, while a 10mm Palau liner is thicker than a MV Intuition it still leaves more room in the shoe. The reason seems to be the sole that is 2mm thinner on the Palau.
It’s so hard buy replacement liners.
Since Intuition and Scarpa Liners are impossible to get anywhere here is a tip for anyone trying to buy a pair in Europe. Palau can be ordered straight from the manufacturers hompage.
So you’re saying I shouldn’t be using the flat foam insole from a pair of Converse in my boots? Hmm…(I started using a Kneed insole this year, it’s a good improvement)
